Condemnation Support
Sendero personnel follow the guidelines of good faith negotiations and make every effort to avoid condemnation, including making multiple calls upon property owners and working to resolve issues. However, if negotiations with a property owner reach an obvious impasse, the Sendero agent will recommend condemnation. In certain cases a final contact will be made with the property owner to attempt a settlement before recommending condemnation. When condemnation is inevitable, the file will be referred to counsel to prepare final offer letters. Sendero personnel are available for expert testimony and support during condemnation, delivering a condemnation packet that includes contact diaries that provide a complete history of landowner contact. They also prepare court exhibits and participate in pre-trial/pre-hearing preparation and mediation proceedings.
