Current Responsibilities
John Reed is a consultant as a Relocation Project Manager for Sendero Acquisitions LP. He began consulting with the company in 2012, and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all relocation activities. Mr. Reed assures compliance with TxDOT’s policies and procedures and assures that work is performed in conformance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act, state, and federal guidelines.
Mr. Reed is managing relocation for several TxDOT projects: Whitney Museum (FM 933), US 87 in Big Spring, Wilsonart (IH 35, Temple) and Cemex in El Paso. Mr. Reed founded Compliant Relocation Services, LLC in 2012. He is currently an instructor for IRWA Relocation and Negotiation courses. Mr. Reed also has contracts set up to train employees on relocation with the City of Houston Public Works.
Prior Experience
Prior to going under contract with the Sendero Acquisitions LP team, Mr. Reed spent 23 years with the Texas Department of Transportation as a Relocation Assistance Specialist, Relocation/Valuation Administrator, Relocation Appeals Technical Advisor and LPA Acquisition Compliance Coordinator. Specializing in relocation,
Mr. Reed was also involved in FHWA “Change for the Better” video project and the NHI Business Relocation Task Force. He was also the developer and instructor of the TxDOT Relocation Training Program.
Mr. Reed was also involved in the NHI/FHWA Comparable Concepts Video project and a member of the AASHTO Relocation Assistance Council from 2009 through 2012.
